I recommend downloading a free player called VLC Media Player (www.videolan.org) and after installing that, try playing it through that. I've had some problems with movies not working with sound though various players before (usually a codec problem of some sort I would imagine) but then playing it through VLC usually works perfectly.
If it doesn't work through there then the best thing to do is download another version. As the other person said, sometimes people upload poor quality stuff including stuff without sound - especially on limewire. [ ammo's advice column | Ask ammo A Question ]

If it is from a place like limewire, it probably wasn't attached with sound.
