Dating Hey advice givers. I'm in need of a little bit 'a help. I'm so confused about this whole dating concept, and I'm only 13/f. If a guy asks you out, as in, "Will you go out with me?" does that mean you're boyfriend and girlfriend? And is being girlfriend and boyfriend the same as dating? I'd just like to know because I'd be very embarassed to tell someone I was dating a guy, that I wasn't really dating. And is going on ONE date with a guy, officially dating? Or is it girlfriend and boyfriend automatically? Like going skating, or dinner, or going to the movies or something. If you were like going on a date on night with a guy, then a different guy the next, does that still make you single? Or is that kinda cheating... ? I'm very confused, sorry if this doesn't make very much sense. I really need an answer please, I don't know where else to ask! My friends don't know (most likely), and right now my mom isn't available. I can't ask my dad - we just don't talk about dating the same way. Please help!
Much Love,
Lauren

Okayy
Datting; is when you guys go out to movies and etc. but not together so you can see other people.
Uswally when i guy ask you out.. that means boyfriend &&girlfriend like only you to. ]
Fun stuff. Okay, well, everyone is going to have their own opinion on this, but this is my philosophy:
If you go on one date with a guy, you aren't boyfriend/girlfriend, and you aren't "dating".
If you go on more than one date with a guy and are planning another, you can consider yourself "dating".
If you've kissed this guy on a regular basis, hung out with this guy on a regular basis, have went out with him for a while, and/or agree to this label, you are "boyfriend/girlfriend".
If you go on a date with one guy one night, and another guy the next night. You are NOT cheating. Unless you are officially "dating" and "exclusive", there is no cheating.
You are single until you are in an exclusive boyfriend/girlfriend situation. I also think that "taken" or "dating" would be a better status than "in a relationship" because that comes when things get long-term and serious.
Also, SOME people consider themselves single until they are engaged or married. MOST, however, deny being single if they are...attached.
I hope this helps or showed you a different perspective on things. :) ]
this has me confused too lol. Uhm, I think the best way to find out is ask the guy.. It all depends, when he asked you out did yous go out on a date.. or did he just say "will you go out with me?" cuz if he just did that then you're probably girlfriend and boyfriend. But if he asked you out as in on a date, then no, i dont think you'd be considered to be. But like I said, the best thing would be to ask him! goodluck :] ]
hello :)
when a guy says, "will you go out with me" it means you are boyfriend and girlfriend [atleast, thats what i know of :)].
I believe it is the same as dating.
when i got into highschool i thought the same thing :P
to me, one date isn't officially dating. usually guys [after a few dates] will be like, want to make it official? or, lets make it official, will you be my girlfriend? [or something along those lines :P ] but usually only one date doesnt mean you are "dating"
i think the multiple person dating still makes you single.. it just means that you are "looking around" and persuing friendships that could turn into relationships. it's nice to have some guy friends you like to hang out with too, and you never know :)
i hope i helped youu! :)
i know my letter was a little confusing too, but hey, we're girls :P :)
good luck with everything. ]
