what is the most popular software and the easiest that i can use to make icons? what about movie maker? and where do you download photoshop from?? thankyou

You can make icons with any image manipulation program. I recommend the free GIMP, which is similar to photoshop:

Stick with windows movie player(start>all programs>windows movie maker), there aren't any good free movie makers. Read this for more info:

there are many different programs. sadly, you can't download these programs free legally. although you can illegaly-- which i'm not allowed to tell you on this site.

but, great programs are
Adobe Photoshop CS2
Adobe Photoshop CS3
Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0
Paint Shop Pro 7,8,9,10,11 (PSP)

they're all pretty expensive, i'd say elements is cheapest, then psp, then most expensive is photoshop at 500$
