is there a virus or no?!

Question Posted Sunday June 3 2007, 1:38 am

ok so i was searching for some *cough cough* sexual tips for my boyfriend and i got a virus on my computer. a little box popped up in the corner of my screen and said "windows has detected a spyware infection" so i go through every virus/infection scan on my computer and it says i don't have a virus. now what am i supposed to do, my computer is slow and this infection box pops up every 5 seconds....litterally. help!!!

The popup itself is spyware/adware. Windows doesn't popup anything(or even know) when it's infected. You can fix it by running any antispyware, like spybot( [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) ), adaware( [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) ), or superantispyware( [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) ). System restore might not fix it, and it's unreliable, you should only use it after everything else fails. Good luck!

hey.

i just answered a question
like this.. so i'll just copy
and paste the answer.

you have to restore your computer.
go to start, all programs, accesories,
system tools, and system restore.
press next, then press June 1
on the calender and press next.
it will restore your computer
to Friday and so even if there was
a virus or problem, it would be
gone. good luck! ♥
