the guy who sells iceskates
ook well I'm 13/f first off. I've just got out of a bad experience with a guy who i thought was sweet and adorable but turned out to be a total asshole. (excuse the language) but anyway; I've had my eye on this guy who sells skates at the ice rink i go to every Friday night. well hes really sweet. i mean i have had a normal conversation with him before because hes into the same style as me. but one problem is that he older. not like dramatically older though. maybe for or five years tops. i mean its not that bad right? i mean my aunt and uncle are 10 years apart!! but i don't think age really matters unless its like sickly different. but yeah so anyway, how is a way i can start a conversation? he has a really nice smile and he knows i think his hair is sexy. (its long and orange /natural/)and hes absolutely adorable.

Well, if you really like him. Just be yourself around him. Because you should be totaly honest with him and if you be yourself he will like the true you and nothing less. That way he gets to know you and you get to know him.
Now when starting a conversation remember to look at him and not away because guys dont like it if your staring off somewhere but them. Most guys like to be the center of your attention. If you wanted to get serious with him and you thought that you liked him that much you might want to offer to go somewhere more private or go meet somewhere new and fun. Maybe movies or where ever your friends and you like to go. But inviting your friends makes it seem less of a date. If you want to be with your friends and it makes you feel more confortable tell him to invite some of his friends. So then you take if from there.Good luck!!

Okay, while it is okay in most situations to date someone who is older than you, I dont think this is one of those situations. I mean, if you two were to start going out and it got serious, he would definitely start expecting some kind of sexual activity in your relationship. Honestly I think you're too young for that kind of stuff. Its probably best to stay as just friends :)

You said this guy is 4 or 5 years older than you. I think that's a bit too old. 17 & 18 year olds with a 13 year old isn't disgusting, BUT for one, he'll be graduating soon, he's almost an adult -- if not one already AND if you guys were to do anything sexual it'd be illegal & disgusting.
Either stick to guys your own age or like this guy from far away.

weelll there is such a thing as illegal relationships lovey (when one person is a minor and the other is way older) i dont know if that applies to you both though. well i understand where your coming from. be funny and smart. (not a nerd) compliment him. if he smiles alot at you or compliments you alot then he might like you 2. when you go skating and he calls you over then he def. likes you. absolutely never let the convo go flat. always make it interesting.

well act normal of course to start a conversation ask him how his day went what he did how did it go etc... or sort of flirt a bit not too much jus a little bit give him a compiment or two thats a great way to start a convo
