No, that's not true. My friends have plugged my iPod into their computers for me to charge it loads of times , and their iTunes never got erased.

no.
you plug in the new ipod
and it will say,
'this ipod is linked to another iTunes library,
transfer this library?'
or something.

click yes and it puts your
iTunes onto tnto the iPod.

well it is true but theres a pop-up that prevents it if you click it. theres an apple store in the mall. and a website. dont do anything without help because w/o knowing you could easily mess it up

Okay, you're asking plugging in your new ipod will erase the songs off of your itunes, right?
No that's not true. However, if you have a blank itunes, and you plug in a full ipod, it will erase the songs from your ipod. Even then, a window pops up and askes you if you want to sync your ipod to the library before it erases anything. So you should be okay.
