I just got a new ipod and i have a lot of songs in my itunes library from my old ipod. i want to put those songs on my new one. but i heard if i plug my new one in, it will erase all my songs. this is a used ipod off ebay if that means anything. so...#1, is that true, and #2 how can i keep this from happening?
LOL_x0x answered Friday June 1 2007, 11:17 pm: no.
you plug in the new ipod
and it will say,
'this ipod is linked to another iTunes library,
transfer this library?'
or something.
click yes and it puts your
iTunes onto tnto the iPod.
CheerCandi answered Friday June 1 2007, 11:08 pm: well it is true but theres a pop-up that prevents it if you click it. theres an apple store in the mall. and a website. dont do anything without help because w/o knowing you could easily mess it up [ CheerCandi's advice column | Ask CheerCandi A Question ]

No that's not true. However, if you have a blank itunes, and you plug in a full ipod, it will erase the songs from your ipod. Even then, a window pops up and askes you if you want to sync your ipod to the library before it erases anything. So you should be okay. [ Shortcake22's advice column | Ask Shortcake22 A Question ]
