Jesus Christ!
So I kind of have a problem with saying the wrong words at the wrong time...like, when something surprising happens to me I usually react by swearing or saying "Jesus Christ!" I know I really shouldn't be swearing OR saying Jesus Christ in vain but I can't help it! Plus, I'd get in trouble if a teacher or whatever heard me swearing. How can I like, stop myself from doing that!? What other words can I say instead? I don't wanna insult people, but it's just my reactions to things. Any suggestions?

To remind yourself, you could have something that you can feel at all times and change it's location on your body... Like a ring on a different finger every day, or a penny in a different shoe. I'm glad that you're trying to change this habit. To say things that aren't offensive, just say something appropriate to the occasion. Like if something startles you badly, don't cuss- just tell the person they scared you. Or if something is really cool, whistle or say wow instead. Always keep it in the back of your mind to find alternate words or not cuss. What is your reason? Don't want to set a bad example? Don't want to offend someone? Remeember your reason. i was having the same problem. instead of saying 'o my God' i say 'o my goodness'. and instead of saying 'holy sh**' u can say 'holy shitake mushrooms'. they both sound pretty stupid but they work. theres: dang, darn, fricken, freakin

LOL same here! I had to think fo words to use instead that's short, had the same sylabols, and started with a J.
I got fire truck and others but that sucks. I slapped myself sometimes and now I rarely say it but I found out that my biggest answer would be saying "JOHN!" Or "JOHN CARREY!" Sometimes I would go "BDIOANDKNFS!" Have no idea where the word John came from but it worked for me.
Maybe scream out the name of the person you hate like a celeb or soemthing, don't say a name of someone in your class..lol

mkay, I had one of my friends spot me, whenever they hear you curse, have them hit you, snap a rubber band on your wrist, etc.
using other words can also help, esp if you get caught on them, some of them can be cute and you can be known for them.
for example, like the F word, you can say something like- flip, fetch, frickin, stuff like that.i use flippin for everythin. :P
things like 'oh snap' can be cute and addictive.
as for using the lords name in vain, my brother says 'cheeses' lol, but a lot of people don't believe thats what he says so im nto sure how effective that is.
