i used a tampon for the first time today, and i'm not sure everything was quite right. i could feel it, but only when i was thinking about it, so its possible i was just freaking myself out. well, i went to the bathroom, and it came out a little and hurt, so i took it out. was it just not in far enough, or what?

You may have not put it in far enough, which is normal. You can usually feel it when your sitting down, just make sure to go in a little deeper next time. Once you use tampons alot you won't notice it anymore so no worries.
Hope I Helped.

Don't worry about putting one in because you'll just psyche yourself out, which is why you could only feel it when you thought about it.
You don't always insert it perfectly the first time, so just try again. Look on the box and it will tell you exactly how to insert it if you happen to have a question about that.
