There's a girl who lives down the street who I've known my whole life. She's okay to hang out with sometimes, but she's very clingy and possessive, so I don't like to spend too much time with her. Anyway, I just found out that she's joining my sports team and we will be giving her a ride home every day after practice. That means she's going to expect me to invite her over every day, or want to hang out all the time after practice. I don't mind doing that sometimes, but I have other friends, and a boyfriend, who I'm gonna want to spend time with. If I tell her I have other plans, she'll be mad at me for not inviting her. Plus I won't always have other plans, I just don't want to spend every day of the summer with her. How can I avoid having to hang out with her every day, without sounding mean or hurting her feelings?

Tell her that you are sorry that you cant hang with her and your friends will be mad if you dont hang with them soon so u have to go talk to them and just hang ]
Hello.Yeah this is totally understandable.Just tell her that you have other things to do;but make plans with her. When you hangout tell her when the next time you could hang out is;like when you have time.Or better yet;when you both have free time.Tell her that even tho you think you can;plans might change. But promise to have some time together. After dropping her off just tell her you'll see her soon,later..etc.If she gets upset when she can't come someplace with you and other friends then it's not your fault.Tell her sorry but there are to many people as there is.But try to keep your temper on low and always be friendly[even if you wish she would go away]. ]
