me and one of my best friends are fighting
im 14 and me and this girl have been friends for like ever. and suddenly she just started crap. she told the people i sit with at lunch i was talking about them behind their back. WHICH I WASNT! and now all of them hate me. and i play a sport and two of the girls from the lunch table are on the team. at one of our games, she had people crowding around her and saying i was being a total biotch! and all she does is make up lies. i tried to tell the people i didnt do anything but they dont believe me. please help.

she might have heard stuff that maybe you were saying abour her even if you werent! maybe another close friend got jealous of how close you were and wanted to end it so they started stuff. if you want to get to the bottom of it just confront your friend and ask her why she is acting like that and try to talk to her and explain everything to her also try doing that with the other people. it almost sounds like your friend coulda been jealous of something you did so she had to make herself look good. and if you two have been friends for a long time talking to her shouldnt hurt even if you do fight a lot of friends do and they get over it. if she still wont listen to you then she wasnt a true friend all along which kinda sucks =/
