this is random but sleeping

Question Posted Monday May 28 2007, 1:42 am

Lol yeah I know this is random but I have trouble falling asleep and what I do is create a story in my mind and plan out every scene and what everything looks like. It helps me fall asleep. Like I just think of a subject and then I picture it happen to me but go like full out detail and it helps me fall asleep. For example: picturing myself living in a really cute city apartment in NYC, my room all how I would like it, and then its about me going to a school dance or being picked randomly on the street for a role in a movie because I'm 'perfect for that role'

Anyways, my question is anyone who can think of more ideas for a story while I fall asleep please put them here. Sorry if you don't understand what I'm saying. Its crazy idea, I know, lol, but it helps, you should try it.

Anyways thanks so anyone who can help me think of more ideas are all accepted and I'll try them out

Wow, I do that too! I've never known of anyone who also does that!

Some of my most common ones are:

1.) A Run Away Romance story, where I run away with my "true love." We go into the forest, and then to the ocean. There are no other people around...and I don't know, you can go ANYWHERE from there.

2.) My job when I get older, I sometimes imagine myself as a journalist on a newspaper or a writer in a magazine. I think about how busy yet still fun my life could be. (sort of like in 13 Going On 30.)

3.) And then, sometimes I think about what it would be like to be on a reality TV show. Like, on MTV, they always have the show, "Newlyweds," and "Meet the Barkers." Well, I imagine myself on one of those, and just the crazy things I'd do. Or I just imagine that I'm a celebrity and getting the "star treatment" all the time. You could do a lot with the celebrity one.

4.) Maybe just thinking about what it would be like to get married, and start a family. Sort of like the NYC one, but you can mix it up a bit with where you live and who you marry.

5.) The most common "story" I think of, are very depressing, tragic stories. They somehow help me to fall asleep, but I don't really think they would work for you considering, the NYC story seemed to be a pretty happy one.
