how come celebrities on tv (hannah montana, lizzie mcguire, etc.) aren't allowed to wear name brands such as abercrombie or hollister?

Hey. This because companies pay big bucks to get celebrities or magazines to advertise there clothing. If celelbrities or people that a lot of other people look up to where these clothes, the big companies get major advertisment for free. Why give it to them for free if they can get paid for it :-p? ♥ fabulous

you know how when somebody is wearing something from abercrombie or hollister, you can tell where it's from? it's because of that. if you see hannah montana wearing abercrombie clothes, then that's advertising for abercrombie. it would be okay if abercrombie paid disney channel for hannah montana to wear their clothes, because then it would be paid advertising. it's much more simple to just wear random clothes i suppose.

Like the other person said, they would be promoting business because the label of the company is usually somewhere on the shirt, or pants. The people can pay for them to wear, but it is expensive.
