Don't panic. You are probably just fine.

The problem originated when Super absorbent tampons were new. That isn't saying you can't still get TSS but the real problem now days is when a woman puts one in and then just forgets she did. It happens more often than you think. So as long as you have removed it I think you will be OK. Just don't make a habit of it. :)

Toxic shock syndrome starts suddenly with vomiting, high fever, a rapid drop in blood pressure (with lightheadedness or fainting), watery diarrhea, headache, sore throat, and muscle aches. Within 24 hours, a sunburn-like rash appears. There also may be bloodshot eyes and an unusual redness under the eyelids or inside the mouth (and vagina in females). After that, broken blood vessels may appear on the skin. Other symptoms may include: confusion or other mental changes; decreased urination; fatigue and weakness; thirst; weak and rapid pulse; pale, cool, moist skin; and rapid breathing. Also if you notice any unusual vaginal discharge, especially if it smells strange or bad, you could have it. If you do not have any of these symptoms within a day or two, you are fine. hope i helped<3
