Question Posted Sunday May 27 2007, 3:57 pm

i have two ferrets. My first one i got was a girl her name is tinkerbelle and i got her in october of 06'. then around january i got a boy named peterpan , and since ive got the boy tinkerbelle got really calmer over days and thats a good thing cause we used to not be able to hold her for a second. And the boy just wont stop being so mean he bites her on the face and bites her on the neck. they have had one temper shot and i was wondering when i get the second one , will her be calmer or any information on how to handle it because im sick of hitting him but it does help :/

Hey. Well, I'm not really an expert on this, but I do have one small suggestion. You could put the two different ferrets in different cages in different rooms. It may be because when you introduced the two, it all happened too fast. You could try to seperate them for a while and then gradually re- introduce them. It's kind of like people, if they get too much of eachother too quickly, they tend to not get along. I would try that for a while, and if it doesn't work, I would ask a pet expert such as an employee of the store you bought the second ferret from, or a veterinarian.

Good Luck, and remember, have patience!
