I kinda fit in with the scene crowd. I got my hair trimmed up the other day, got some more layers put in it but they're still kinda long. I also got my hairdresser to leave my bangs long. I wash and straighten my hair every morning but it still seems too flat. how can I make it more volumous at the top?? My mum suggested teasing it but I don't really know if that;s the right thing to do and I don't know how to do it properly so it stays in and doesn't fall out within a few minutes.
Any suggestions on volumising the top part and accentuating my layers?

Put it in your hair whiel it is damp. then take a round brush and roll it section by section right down the the root and using your blowdryer and blowing in the direction of hair flow. this should give you more volume if done right.
