back handspring. I can have a back-bend but slip when I do it. Today my friend spotted me for a back handspring and I did pretty good because she did like all the work. How can I learn a band handspring that will give quick results? I don't have a trampoline or mat though. :[
Thanks in advance!

Watch how people do them, the rigth way. I think when you watch people and try to do what they do it helps. Have your friend come over and spot you more. I am in tumbling and years ago when I was learing flipflops (backhandsprings) I didn't do tricks or little workouts to help I just got spoted alot and practiced. Its the best way to learn is just doing it alot. Do bridge ups (backbends) to stretch though. ]
Well...some places like a cheerfactor or something do classes for a couple of weeks, or like open tumbling where there are a few different teachers working with different groups and when i did it the focused a lot on my back handspring. Try to find something like that in your area or a summer program that might do it. You might even consider gymnastics for a season if you want to do stuff other than a back handspring. hope i helped (: ]
Practice on grass..but if your trying to improve your back handspring..pushups help because they streghten your wrists and arms..
if you stand with your back two feet away from the wall..and put your arm over your head and push them down the wall (fingertips towards the wall) which will arch your back..that will help aswell..because its the position that you do in a back handspring (same concept as a walkover) ]
