AskJR answered Saturday May 26 2007, 2:47 am:
Over 35 different brands on test patients concluded that almost all Hoodia products on the market are either adulterated (cut with cheaper ingredients), or just outright counterfeit.

Supplements are not controlled by the FDA, and the consumer is burdened with the task of finding and buying the best product available at his or her own risk and health.

South Africa's is the largest Hoodia supplier, and it stands to reason not every company is buying Hoodia extract from them, and when and if they do-- most cut it with other ingredients as mentioned earler.

Does it work? Yes, to some extent, (but just how well?) the real Hoodia from the plant that South Africa grows and is ingenious to, BUT the question to ask yourself is: Which brand on the worldwide web do I buy? Or in the local GNC store?

How do you know which is conterfeit and which is real?

Don't waste your money on a product not even proven, or approved by the FDA. Why risk side effects and health problems? You have no idea what they use a filler ingredients that could harm you!

Don't you think that if Hoodia REALLY worked so well, that the pharmecutical companies would jump on that and make it into prescription pills to MAKE MONEY on this "miracle" plant? Yep, and the doctors, pharmacies and medical supply corporations too.

Eat smart, be active, exercise and loose weight the healthy way--anything less is lazy and dangerous.
