aim virus??

so my friend got a virus and it sent the virus to everyone on her aim buddy list

i just dont understand how you get these
hers said this "hey i was looking through some old photos and i was wondering if i could put this one of us up on my myspace? and then it gave the link with the virus...

but yea hows it possible for viruses to be sent to ppl on your buddy list

The virus was designed to open aim, go the the buddy list, and send messages to everyone on the buddy list. It can do this only if you are signed into AIM, and probably only if you are using the official AIM client. I'm not sure if the virus actually moves the mouse/simulates keystrokes, or if it exploits AIM in a different way. Take a look at some of the results of:

In order to get the virus, you have to click on the link. So whatever you do, Don't click on the link. Because you'll be fine as long as you don't click anything.

i'm not exactly sure how viruses work through AIM, but I do know that it must hack into your computer system using a special code that can send the virus out to anyone that you have listed on your buddy list. It's sort of like a robot, that sends the same thing out to everyone.

So as long as you don't click on it, you'll be fine.
