Ab Exercises

Question Posted Thursday May 24 2007, 5:48 pm

What are some of the best ab exercises? I did google it, but I was wondering if anyone had personal experiences with them & which ones worked. I've been doing crunches & reverse crunches/6 inches. I'm kind of bored with them. Any ideas? Thanks!

Crunches really don't do much unless you do them right, do the right amount, and have a good diet. You can have the strongest abs and not be able to tell if there's a layer of fat covering them, or something. (I had that problem for awhile)
This is what I try to do daily:
2 sets of 20 each:
Partial curls
Frog leg crunches
Reverse crunches
L crunches
side crunches
and 3 minutes with an ab roller.
Plus, I have a decently healthy diet. So, I'm starting to see definite results.
Good luck!

Honestly, I think any ab exercises that you do are going to help. It may not seem like they're doing anything right now, but just like losing weight, building muscle takes time too. For the first week I started doing situps, I wasn't seeing any improvements. But later, you will see the change.

Ab exercises that I think work the best are, the ab lounge, or if you can't get that, normal, old fashioned situps work great and will still give you results. Also, if you try sucking your stomach in and holding it for 10 seconds, then letting it out, this also helps build muscle in your stomach.

well, this is kinda weird but if u do the 'pop lock and drop it' dance for a while it will really help. i did that yesterday, and it really works. i know its weird but trust me.
