break up with him or no? please help!!

Question Posted Wednesday May 23 2007, 12:18 am

okay well i have a really big problem. im 15/f. ok im going out with this guy and ive been going out with him for like 10 months.. which is a pretty long time considering im only a freshman. i really love him and stuff but like i just feel like i dont really want a boyfriend right now. i wanna just feel free and do whatever i want. especially since its summer right now. if i break up with him i dont wanna get into another relationship right away. i just wanna like be free. and also he gets jealous really easily so that makes it even worse because i really feel like i cant do ANYTHING. so what should i do? break up with him or stay with him? and i know that if i break up with him i will still hang out with him and stuff because im friends with his friends and stuff. thanks xo

if I were you i wouldn't break up with him- you might just need some time apart from each other... DO NOT SAY THAT TO HIM THOUGH! Just go on a vacation and turn your cell phone off or something. And don't go online so you won't have to talk to him. If you feel like you don't miss him when it's over and you're better off single, go ahead and break up with him but put a lot of thought into it.

You don't have to be crazy about him every single second of your life... It's normal to feel like you don't really want a bf right now.

Just remember- you will probably miss having a bf if you break up with him but it will be too late... so just be really really careful whatever you do.

I hope I helped.

You said so yourself, you want to be free and do what whatever. Personally, it sounds like you already made up your mind, you just need to know if its a good choice.. Breaking up isnt always a bad thing, sometimes you find out that your relationship is better off on a friend level, then a couple level. You're 15, you should be able to have fun and do what you want. If you break up with him and you relize it was a mistake, you still have him as a friend. You can build it back up to that level of liking, and maybe even loving as you say. I say break up with him, but it's not my choice... it's only yours to make. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be free. Good luck, hope that helped.

Ive been dating my boyfriend for that amount of time to and i know how you feel. somtimes he just doesnt understand and you want to be able to look without worrying he is going to find out and freak of somthing. But figure out your feelings before you go out and totally destroy a relationship that has been going on for a while. you may find that it was a mistake and you didn't want it but it was to late !
