I've heard that the Perks of Being a Wallflower was a really good book, and I have yet to read it. Are there any other extremely good books that you recommend?
LM answered Monday May 21 2007, 5:14 pm: Anything by Sarah Dessen. Especially "Just Listen" and "This Lullaby". I'm working my way through 1984 (by George Orwell); seems good so far. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is a personal favorite of mine. Twilight [by Stephanie Meyer] was fairly good too. Scott Westerfeld is a great writer- I can't classify his books into any one category; I'd have to say they're a sci-fi/romance/action-adventure hybrid. the "Uglies" trilogy is easy to read but has a good message- I think, haha. Kurt Vonnegut was-and always will be- one of the best writers. I've read a few of his so far as well.
If you're not sure you'll like any of these, borrow them from a library. That way, you won't be cursing my Advicenators column when you've just wasted $16.99 on a book that reduces you to tears.
