UGH THIS GUYY
this guy REALLY likes me like he called me beautiful and stuff but i REALLY don't have feelings for him at all. and it seems like the more he talks to me and tells me he likes me, the more turned off i get, and the more i like this other guy.
now, the guy that likes me told me he liked me AFTER i told him i liked someone else... so i dont know why he told me. but he did. and he asked me for my cell number & he doesn't text... which is pretty much the only thing a cell phone is USED for... and he called me and he was like, hey i'd really like to talk to you and i mean i feel bad and everything but dude, he's becoming sort of obsessed with me. like the moment i get on my instant messenger, he IMs me.
i just REALLY need some space. i've been trying to avoid going on as much as possible, saying i'm busy etc. and only limiting to talking to him in school, but idk it's just really hard cause of all this guilt.
he KNOWS that i like someone else that's not him cause i told him, but he still tells me he would like to kiss me, thinks i'm beautiful and wants to go to the 8th grade dance with me but i really don't like him beyond friends.
the TRUTH is, i only asked him for his screen name cause i thought he was friends with my crush! it turned out horrible, and NOT what i wanted. cause now my crush's so called friend now DIGS me and my crush still doesn't like me!
please help me? i can't just tell him to lay off cause that would really hurt him.

Why don't you tell him firmly, but gently that you already have someone else in mind? Cos it seems as though ignoring him isn't the solution.
If you want him to stop pestering you, then you'll definitely hurt him in one way or another, whatever method you choose. The best you can do is to minimise that hurt. The best way to do it isn't by ignoring him only. And I think that by ignoring him, you're hurting him as well.
You should tell him that you like someone else and not him. Tell him that you really like him as a friend and all but just feel that you two shd give each other a chance to go out with other people.
If you don't want him to IM you, just block him. It's that simple. Don't give me bullshit bout telling me that blocking him is bad. He wouldn't even know anyway. Don't care if you think it's bad or not. It's the best way to keep yourself sane. Besides, it's the most effective ignoring method. Why keep him unblocked and have him pestering you the moment you sign in?
It's better to use a combination of ignoring him plus telling him straight that he's not your cup of tea. There's no other better way of telling a guy to lay off than telling those things.

the best thing to do, is just tell him "to be friends." yes, this will probably break his heart, and crush him into pieces,but this is what he needs to hear,the truth. The truth may hurt, but if he can't get a clue...then this is the last option. i'm sorry, i couldn't give you more advice on this, but this is the only advice that will work.

Just tell him he's not what you're looking for.
Tell him you like someone else,
and he should probably find a girl
that he could get along great with
and have a lot of fun with.
Inform him that you're not the only girl.
There's other fishies out there
that I'm sure would love to be his.
If you're not honest with him, you're stuck with him.
