Question Posted Thursday May 17 2007, 10:27 pm

I auditioned for my school musical and got really sick after the audition. I had to stay home all week, but my friend Justin absolutely promised that he would email me the cast list as soon as it came out, regardless of whether I got the role or not.

While I was sick, my drama teacher emailed the cast list to me and I had not gotten the part I wanted. During the whole two weeks I was out of school, Will did not follow through with his promise and email the cast list like he promised. (and I know that he was in school because he got one of the lead roles in the musical and I know he didn't get sick).

I'm not sure how to feel about this. Should I be touched because Justin cares about me and he probably didn't send me the cast list because he didn't wan't me to be hurt, or should I be upset because he broke his promise? At the moment, I'm feeling really hurt because he didn't follow through.

I think that it is great that you have a caring friend who promised to do something nice for you while you were sick. I think this makes you very lucky. :)

Has Justin always been nice to you and has he always tried to keep his promises? If so, this is probably something very innocent. Things are always going wrong with e-mails. It might not have been sent correctly and you might not have gotten it. Like someone else who gave you advice said, he could have found out that your teacher was sending it to you. If he knew that, there wouldn't be a point to sending it to you.

I think that you should ask him about it. He seems like a nice friend who cares about your feelings, so I think this method would work.

If you have anymore questions, feel free to message me back. :)

Best of luck,
Hannah

Hmmm... Well, maybe he didn't email it to you becuase he knew the teacher would email it to you and just forgot to tell you the reason why. If you are back in school, maybe you could ask him about it. That is, if you don't feel too uncomfortable about it.

Why are you asking here and not Justin directly?

How is anyone else gonna get inside Justin's head to know his intent?

It's 50/50....flip a coin...heads or tails...who knows?

Ask him and get the answer.
