my lawn is kinda dead, and my dad doesn't wanna pay to get it like, fixed up. what should i do

There's some really cheap fertilizer you can get at Kmart, Home Depot, or any other store around. Fertilizer and weed killer will keep the lawn rejuvinated. Also, you might want to plant some grass seed in areas where the grass will probably never grow back without being completely replanted.
