me and my girlfriend are really close an everything but recently she tearned all despressed and wont talk. and shes very quiet now which is weird since shes usualy really extremely loud. she doesnt want to do anything with me anymore and stuff like that. shes really tight with my best friend. and he told me that she told him that some fifty year old raped her.why would she tell him and not me. what should i do?
its like this....she is afraid that you will react in a bad way if she tells you this. Its like...she cares about you somuch that she doesnt want to tell you something that might make you change your mind about her? thats how i would feel anyways.

Let her know your friend told you, or ask his friend to ask her if it's okay if he tells you. Then, make sure you talk it over. She will be emotional for quite some time, that's the normal response, and make sure you're there for her. That's a traumatic experience, so don't shy away because she cries or something..
