Do you really want to go out with him? I would'nt want to go out with a guy who's still in love with his ex, because chances are things will never be able to get serious between you because he's still emotionally attached to someone else. If you do want to be with him...Then yah, you should tell him you like him or flirt/drop hints, see if he figures it out himself. Or just tell him straight up. I wouldn't suggest going out with him until he's over his first girlfriend, but it's your choice. Good Luck.
