Argh, that sucks about getting your tampon before going to a water park!

The first thing to remember is that if your nervous it probably won't go in. You'd probably clench up down there and the tampon won't budge. You have to relax and let it slip in.

Yes, KY jelly does help.

Beginner tampons are fine, but if you find you are leaking through it a few hours later, you'll need to switch to something more absorbent.

If you put it in the wrong way and it's uncomfortable so you have to remove it, it won't feel good at all because it is still dry. If you get it in the right way and wait the alloted time to change it, it should slide out just fine because it is lubricated with blood.

This is a pretty though problem but just be glad you don't have my problem. No matter how relaxed I am NOTHING will go up there. A tampon, a finger, nothing! Because of this, I have to see a doctor before I decide to become sexually active to get it checked out. Who knows what will have to happen to help that?

Most girls do feel uncomfortable the first time they use tampons, but just make sure you follow the instructions in the tampon box and you should be fine. Good luck!

i used a tampon for the first time when i was on vacation, and i felt the same way. When i first put it in, it didnt feel weird, but thinking about something being up there was werid, really weird. But i just had to get over it. Now they are the only thing i use. They are so much more comfortable then wearing pads and you can do so much more. Its not that bad when you take them out. It might hurt for like a second, but its only a second, its nothing to worry about. I would say to use tampax gental glides or whatever they are, cause they are small and work the best, if its light. Like i said, once you get over thinking about something being there, your going to like them a lot more.

use "tampax easy glide" or "tampax lites junior". that's what i started out with.

just make sure the angle is right when you're inserting it. also relax your muscles.

they don't hurt at all if you get them in all the way.

Taking them out doesn't hurt- it just slides out... that's if you've had it in for long enough for it to get saturated with blood. If it's dry it's a little bit uncomfortable- but hey it ends in about 1 second.

good luck and carefully read the insertion directions in the box.

don't worry about this. :)

I used to try to put in tampons, and they KILLED! It's because I was doing it wrong. When you're doing it right, you can barely feel the tampon going in & out. You just need to practice on finding the right angle. My friend learned how to use a tampon but using a mirror to look. It sounds gross, but she said it helped a lot. If it hurts, then it's not in the right way -it shouldn't hurt at all. The only time it hurts to take the tampon out, is when the tampons dry.

tampons dont hurt! it doesnt hurt to put them in, or take them out. and its okay to use beginner tampons, which are regular size tampons, not super. it may a little awkwars using it the first time but once you get that out of the way you wont think anything else about it you will just use them.

--hope i helped!
