In recent years we have seen a large number of virii and germs that have been able to be passed on from their animal hosts to humans so it would seem only fitting that the germs can work the other way around as well. Animals may be immune to certain germs and virii but certainly there are some they are not immune to.
We are told to wash our hands after handling animals and such and this would only be because of the possible germs that can be spread so I'd have to say yes, it would be possible for certain germs to be passed on to animals but I am basing this more on opinion than on actual evidence/research. I had a brief look online to see if I could find any related details but was unable to and at the moment I am pressed for time but I shall look again to see if I can find anything and pass it on if you'd like, to you.
