i just finished watching the movie "just like heaven" and im so lost! why could only the little girl and the man see her and no one else?

The man could only see her because they were meant to be together, it was his fate to meet her but when he blew her off it became his fate to save her life. The little girl could see her because its the thing that children are innocent and more prone to believe and to see things that adults brush off.

This is the interpretation I've heard: The man could see her because fate was bringing them together from the start. As far as the little girl, first of all, it could never have happened without her so that was partly fate. Also, little kids are generally more likely to see "spirits" and stuff just because they don't dismiss the things they see as impossible the way adults sometimes do.

im not really sure why they could see her.. maybe it was becasue they beleived, or that it was ment to be. Or like they guy, it he was supposed to be her blind date..so it could have been fate...or sumthing....the girl could have just hasd a strong love and faith that she would survive...but everyone i know knows very little and only thinks of that as the reason'
