Question Posted Saturday May 5 2007, 6:42 pm

i want to lighten my hair. but i dont want to use dyes.

i heard that you can go outside with lemon juice in your hair and it will lighten it. is it unhealthy for your hair?

if it is, is there a shampoo that i can use that wont dye my hair but lighten it? im dirty blonde and want to be a shade or two lighter.

Hey. I have this stuff, it's called Pantene Pro-V Expressions. There's different lightening powers of it, so you'd have to look at the labels and stuff. It kind of works, but also, go outside, the sun will lighten it. Hope I helped :]. Kathleen.

There is this really good stuff called Sun In and it works realy good! Its just like putting leave on condition in. put it in when your hair is damp and then go in the sun and it turns your hair lighter.i used it before and it works great!

The lemon juice may dry out your hair a bit. It may also make it a little frizzy but if you leave conditioner in your hair for a couple minutes when you're in the shower it shouldn't harm it that bad. You can also use leave in conditioner.
Hope I helped.
