Sparky_1 answered Thursday May 10 2007, 2:45 am: just ask questions that you think are appropriate..and volunteer a bit of information about yourself so it doesn't just seem like you are trying to find out things.
and do't go to the cinemas..because you can't talk, there'll be awkward moments and it's just impersonal..do something very low key..like look around the shopping centre and go for a coffee/bite to eat.
Whereas on the second date if it's got a spark and you think it's going somewhere go somewhere a bit more interacive like bowling, or mini golfing. [ Sparky_1's advice column | Ask Sparky_1 A Question ]

Your life, family, friends, school, jobs, hobbies, etc. A good first date with someone you don't know that well would be a movie and pizza after. You should do dinner after so if there's any awkward silences you can at least talk about the movie, lol.
Hope I helped. [ Ashumms's advice column | Ask Ashumms A Question ]

First dates are the time where you get to know the most about another person. This is what defines whether or not you two are going to go out on more dates and whether or not you like the other persons personality. So you need to find ways to bring out the best parts of your personality.
Come up with 20 questions that you want to try and get the answer to by the end of the night, you probably wont need them, but it's better to be more prepared some example questions would be like:
Whats your fave colour
what kind of music do you like
do you have any siblings
Do you have any pets
what do you want to be (like as a career)
whats your fave movie
as far as a good first date, the classic is dinner and a movie, and I like that idea, because if you just to dinner, it can be short but if you just do a movie you dont get to talk and get to know more intimate stuff about the other person.
Other good first dates are shopping at the mall, or going to a sports game. Because you can talk and do something fun.
Hope that answers your question, love ya,

1993 answered Saturday May 5 2007, 5:10 am: well.. when you go on a date... you should find out more about her/him. ask her/him questions like:
wats your fav food
wat turns you on the most :P
stuff like that - and also just talk about anything you want to talk about. just make a normal conversation like you would with your friends! just act normal and have confidence!
act normal and relax theres nothing to be worried about except saying something very inappropriate and her/him dumping you.:| JOKING :P nah srsly just act normal and start a completely normal convo!
