does anyone have a trick for not thinking into little stupid stuff? i always tend to do that and i blow it out of proportion so it ends bad. it shouldn't have been anything in the first place but it's like i make it into something. i don't know i just need any help! thanks

Music keeps your mind occupied so that you can't really think about stuff. Reading, if you're into that, can do wonders too. I know that music and books aren't always at your disposal, though, so in those circumstances, I try to sing a song in my head and that usually works out pretty good. Another great technique is trying to make yourself smile. Any way you can. Have a friend do something stupid or tell a joke, remember something funny that happened earlier, anything.
