Three friends and a tagalong?
Hey Amanda,
Okay. So I'm in a group of friends with three other girls and we're like oober tight. It's kind of insane. The other three have known each other for like EVER and I just joined their friend group last year. Everybody seems to have something that makes them different but me. Like there's a shy one, a funny one, an athletic one...and me. I'm a little bit of all of them, and it kind of makes me feel out of the loop. I know they don't mean to do it, but sometimes they can really hurt my feelings. Like okay, so one of them showed this really embarrassing picture to another one of my friends who's not in the group even when I told her not to. And it REALLY pissed me off. I love them to death, but I'm afraid to talk to them about how I feel because I just want to fit in. I don't really know exactly what to do. It's not like they're evil and I'm a friendless loser, it's just I feel a little odd. Okay, well you probably don't care anymore. So. What should I do?

aw haha, first off. of course i care! you don't deserve to feel awkward like this! my best advice is to definitely tell them how you feel. maybe you personally don't, but i bet they see you as your own person! and once you explain yourself a little more you'll feel even more of an individual and you'll feel so much more respected. i think if you let out these feelings this won't even bother you anymore. you really shouldn't feel out of the loop either- so what if they've been closer friends longer? - they still accepted you into their group and as one of their best friends so think about that and try not to worry. plus .. i would love to be the one with a little bit of everything- you are the well rounded one. and i don't know about you, but that seems like a pretty good title to have to me ;] things will be fine don't let this get to you.. you just need to talk it over. i hope this all works out for you! xo
