about my sony camera
i have a dsc-s650 digital camera by sony...and it works fine its just that the red light doesn't appear how do i get it to appear when im going to take the picture? i had another sony digital camera before and the red light did appear when i was going to take a picture ... the red light is locate next to the flash bolt

I'm not sure, but it's the infra red thing if you're shooting during nighttime - it basically turns on to find an edge somewhere in the frame if it's dark and focuses on that.
If you're using flash, it might not turn on.
Don't worry, this is a diff. model. Might be normal.
