my cats hate me. theres 2 of them. whenever i try to pet them they run away. but sometimes they'll come running to me. its like they only like me for 10minutes once a week and thats the only time they'll let me pet them. what's the point of having cats if you cant pet them. ok so yeah how do i get them to like me. food does not work!

Cats are really independent. There's nothing you can really do other than hope that as they get older they'll become more affectionate.

Unlike dogs ,usually they will only give affection when they want it. Its not that they dont like you, think of it this way. They have a short attention span. You try to pet them or hold them and they are saying to you "But mom there is stuff over there that i need to get into!" Trust me if they didnt like you you would never see them. And they would run away and never consider coming up to you. They just want to play. Trust me i have 4 of the things. [ lilmegsoko's advice column | Ask lilmegsoko A Question ]
