Physicals and weed... in general

Question Posted Monday April 30 2007, 7:47 pm

I have heard that if you smoke weed it is visible through drug tests for 6 months. Is this true if you only try it once? Also, I am a freshman in high school. Is there and times when it is mandatory to have a physical? I remember when I was going into Jr. High it was mandatory. When they take a urine sample for physicals, what are they testing for? drugs? I also heard if you take Airborne right after you smoke weed, it is invisible to the urine drug test.

Any answers to these questions?
Please no bashing.
Thanks. :)

When I was working as an office nurse, we'd do a urinalysis to look for blood, protein, white cells, glucose, and other markers of disease or infection. We didn't look for drugs unless it was specifically ordered by the doctor. We had to have consent from the parent and/or the student if there was a need for drug screening.

The question of whether a physical is required is up to your school, generally.

I don't know about Airborne. I have heard that Goldenseal root can help clear pot from the system.

Good luck.

don't do weed.
it screws up your memory and enables you to learn.
you are a freshman in highschool. you have four more years of school and if you do weed once, you ARE going to do it again.
One study has indicated that an abuser's risk of heart attack more than quadruples in the first hour after smoking marijuana.
Even infrequent abuse can cause burning and stinging of the mouth and throat, often accompanied by a heavy cough.
smoking weed also triples the chances of getting cancer in the head, neck, and lungs.
andd it messes up your immune system.
and it increases depression and anxiety.

plus my uncle sends me a card every year from jail and at the bottom he always says "don't do drugs and don't break the law."

SO JUST DON'T SMOKE WEED!

It can stay in your system for up to 30 days...but it's possible to pass a drug test even a week after taking a hit or two. It depends on your body. 30 days is the maximum, though, as far as I know.

And I didn't have to get a physical to get into high school, but I don't know about your particular one. I haven't had a physical in...damn, I don't even remember.

Even when I did, I don't remember a urine sample. But even if they do, I don't think they look for drugs in particular. More like UTI's or other infections, pregnancy (if you're female), sugar (signaling diabetes), etc.

Hope that helps!
