Question Posted Monday April 30 2007, 1:58 pm

Can anyone explain to me why, after you get a shot, your immune system is weaker?

Just curious.

When you get a shot, they give you a little bit of the disease/sickness so that your body can learn to fight it off if ever infected with it. It weakens your immune system for a bit until your immune system can react and kill it, but then it gets stronger & goes back to normal.

usually when you get a shot small strain[a piece of the DNA] of a disease---> the one the shot's for. So your body tries to kill it, and it wears it out.

the stuff in the shot is forighn to your body so all your body defences try to kill it but it is to strong.so the shot cures what it needs to but it leaves everything else vonerable.
