I've gotten them, in fact, I just got my second one this past week.

Theres three shots.
You get the first one, and then you get another 2 months later, and then you get the third one four months later.

No, they work whether your sexually active or not. Because you can get HPV without being sexually active.

There is just one down side to the shots, and I don't want to scare you. But, since they are fairly new, doctors/researchers have no way of telling what the long term side effects are, so far there have been none, but you never know. When/If you decide to get them, you doctor will explain all of this to you though. He/She will explain how it protects you, and all of that, and any additional questions you may have.

Another down side is, the day you get the shot, there will be a knot in your arm where you got it, and it will last about three days, maybe four. It kind've feels like a bruise, but there is no mark or bruise. And you may or may not get nauseous afterwards. Alot of people I've known, and myself have gotten nauseous after getting the shot.

I hope I've helped.

There are three shots. You get one then two months after the first shot you get a second. Then six months after the first shot (it would be four months after the second shot) you get the third one. The vaccine will still work if you are sexually active only if you don't already have the hpv virus. It is not a cure for hpv and it will only HELP to prevent it. I hope I helped.

its 3 shots
i dont remember the exact waiting periods, but i think its something like 2 months before the second one, and then 4 months before the last one
they dont only work if you are sexualy active, but if you are, you could already have hpv, and a vaccine only prevents, it doesnt cure. thats why they recommend getting them before you are sexually active.
