2] Leave it in for about one minute -- while my shampoo's in, I like to put my facewash on my face, shave my underarms, then wash my facewash off. Then I rinse my shampoo.
3] Put some conditioner into your hand and massage into your hair -- it should only be applied to the ends, but I have to massage it into all of my hair because my hair is all different lengths.
4] Leave the conditioner in for 2-3 minutes -- this is about how long it takes for me to shave my legs. Then rinse the conditioner out. [ Bucket's advice column | Ask Bucket A Question ]

Rinse the shampoo out and wring out your hair as much as possible. Doing this will help the conditioner sink in. Only put conditioner in about two inches from the roots and down and leave in about two minutes. Rinse with cold water. [ Ashumms's advice column | Ask Ashumms A Question ]
its_melissa_DuH answered Saturday April 28 2007, 5:56 pm: this is my shower method, but it all depends on the type of shampoo & conditioner you use:
first, when i get in i stay in for a minute or so then i shampoo, leaving it in for a minute then rinsing it out.
then, i wash my body with body wash & a sponge
after, shave whatever needs to be shaved
then last, i put conditioner in my hair and leave it in for 3 minutes to really make sure it's soaked in well.
so i would say you should keep the shampoo in for 1 minute and conditioner in for 3 minutes. for the conditioner, massage it in for 15 seconds and let it sit for the 3 minutes. hope i helped!
christina answered Saturday April 28 2007, 5:13 pm: I usually massage my shampoo in for about 2-3 minutes so I can make sure I get everything. I've got thick hair so it takes longer to brush/straighten/wash than it would if I had thin hair. After I shampoo, I leave it in for about 3 more minutes and then I wash it out. I do the same thing for conditioner, but I massage it for 5, and then leave it in for five minutes & then I wash it out. If you have thin hair, only massage & leave it in for about 2 minutes. straightup answered Saturday April 28 2007, 5:08 pm: you should only use a dollop of shampoo the size of a quarter. if it doesnt lather, then your hair isnt wet enough. you need even less conditioner, becuase conditioner should only go on the ends of your hair, not on your scalp becuase that will make it greasy. If you ever read on the back of the shampoos that it says repeat, IGNORE IT. it is totally unnecessary to shampoo your hair twice. it is a scam to make you use more product and then buy more than you need to.
you dont need to leave shampoo in your hair, just bring it to a lather, rub your scalp, and rinse it out. with conditioners, just rub it into the lower ends of your hair, leave it for a minute or whatever the bottle says, then rinse. VOILA! done.
hope this helped. [ straightup's advice column | Ask straightup A Question ]
