DDR!!!

Question Posted Monday April 23 2007, 9:37 pm

ok does anyone know any good fast-like dance dance revolution songs? something like Butterfly and Waka Laka. i dunno i just some how developed a taste for this kind of music happened when i first tried that DDR machine :P. OH! while im talking about DDR is it possible to order/buy those machines? i want one in my basement lol. though are there..say shorter ones? cause the ones that are found at arcades seem pretty tall and maybe it wont fit well in my basement. i dont know about you guys, call me a loser but those things are kind of fun :P. also i think they might make a good addition to my excercising routines. if it is possible to buy one, what stores can they be possibly found at? i live in masschusetts if that helps.

Okay, I'll make a quick list.

-Dynamite Rave
-Butterfly Red Butterfly Remix
-1998
-B4U
-D2R
-Synchronized Love
-Vol. 6
-Mugen
-Hana Ranman
-Bad Boy Bass
-Temple of Love
-Can't Stop Falling in Love
-Hot Limit
-Healing Vision Angelic Mix
-Sakura
-Chaos
-DoLL
-Candy
-Candy Vocal Mix
-Redzone

Those are a few of my favorite fast-tempo DDR songs. Oh, and when you get the chance, play In The Groove too. It's a fun American version of DDR with a bunch of cool songs as well.

Buy a video game system, (I have a PS2) and they have dozens of different DDR programs you can buy. You don't have too buy the full machine, but the games you can buy for the video game system come with a disc and a mat. I have one and absolutely love it...it really is addicting.

Hiya! :D

I can't really think of any songs of that kind off the top my head but I'll edit my reply afterwards if I can compile a little list for you. :]

As for buying the DDR machine - I actually live in the UK so am not sure about prices over there in the US but I can say that the machines cost a LOT. Most arcade places usually have the machines on hire via a contract from companies as opposed to actually buying them because of how much they cost. You can always try and get hold of them second hand though but expect to pay a fair bit. They are available in various sizes and such so finding one to fit shouldn't be a problem. :]

Also, you can buy a lot of home versions now so you dont have to spend tons on the arcade machine. You can get the same (similar) games for a number of consoles (I've personally seen them for the PS2 but I'm certain other versions must also be available) for a fraction of the price and the game can also be brought with the grid type mat to make it more 'arcade' style. The very same game is also available as a box which plugs directly into your TV (you can't use any other games with it - it's designed to only run the DDR type game) and includes the dance mats as well. These you should be able to buy from game and/or toy stores or if need be, online.

As for using them to exercise they are awesome! I don't personally use them (I refuse to unless it's when I'm somewhere abroad, hehe) but they also are a great help with co-ordination and improving reflexes. :D
