i've been a cheerleader for 4 years now. you have to work on your voice projection. when you cheer, say your cheer nice and slow because then that makes your moves sharper. if you go too fast it looks sloppy. work on your jumps & flexibility. definately have confidence, at my school we have an "appearance" catagory, where they judge our confidence & how we present ourselves. if you mess up, keep going. it'll be okay. and make sure your moves are realllllly tight. that's always a huge plus. it should be okay, just practice, practice, practice! good luck =].

start working on your flxibility if you are short and thin(you may be used for a top girl) i was given a dance routine to memorize and cheers. i also had to try a stunt, but all the girls help out a lot. its quite simple, but you will be sooo sore! so get some icy hot now =]]

It's not that hard. you have 2 b confident though. As long as you show the judges that you want 2 b there you will shurly make it. I just made my cheer squad and can't stop doin the cheers. Try your best and if not you can always try next year. Be confident and make sure that you know and show the judges that is where you want 2 be! Go for it and good luck!!!!!

You should be able to do cartwheels, roundoffs, front handspring, and a backhand spring if you can, and a split. They may also ask you to do one or two cheers of your own, or that you already know. Just remember to smile- because they said that was a big part of it, and be really loud and excited!

good luck
