Doesn't want a girlfriend!
I have been hooking up with this guy now for over 6 months. We kiss and hold hands and stuff everytime we see each other but we have never done anything more than that because when I try he says he "doesn't want to". He also says he doesn't want a girlfriend and that is why we are not going out but he never hooks up with other girls and has told me he loves me? He is obviously not using me for sex because we never do it and isn't seeing other people so I am really confused and any answer would be really appreciated! thanks in advance

I answered a question about this for a girl yesterday who didnt want to date a guy anymore because she was worried he was going to ask her to be his girlfriend.
People get weirded out when it comes to commitment. The word girlfriend makes certain people scared that they are either going to gt hurt or not get to live life to the fullest.
So basically you have two choices, you can date him and keep going the way you are with out a commitment, or you can try and change it,by asking him to make a commitment to you. Either way, it's probably just going to be the same, but if he cheats on you this way, he's going to do it infront of your face, but if he cheats on you when you're a exclusive it'll be behind your back. But if you're confident he wont see anyone else, then why make a commitment? It's totally up to you and how you feel. But you cant change him ad the way he feels, but talk to him about it. Hm, thats kind of weird, but I will try my best to help you. Maybe he just doesn't want to get hurt or he doesn't want to hurt you. A good thing to do is to explain to him that you feel like you two should be in a relationship instead of being just friends with benefits. Maybe he will understand. Feel free to ask another question if you take my advice. I might be able to help once things are broken down a little more.
