hey!
WE just did this in science, except my teacher called it imigration and emmigration. Imigration (or migration) is what happens when people (or animals) move from one place to another. Think of immigrants coming from one country to another. Coming is the key word. So I live in Canada, so say someone came from the United states to Canada then they would be immigrating to canada, but if they were then leaving canada to go back to the united states(or anywhere) they would emmigrating, because they were leaving.
It's confusing because its the same thing, just from which point of view you are looking at it from. So if they are coming towards you they are immigrating or migrating but if they are going away from you then they are emmigrating.
I hope that answers your question, let me know if you need something cleared up. Love ya,

Migration is moving from one spot to another. Like how birds from the North fly South for the Winter. They migrate there.

Immigration is moving from one country/continent to another for hopes of something better.

Emigration is basically the same thing as immigration. It's leaving a country for the sake of better in another.

Migration occurs when living organisms move from one biome to another. In most cases organisms migrate to avoid local shortages of food, caused by something like a famine.

Immigration in the modern sense refers to movement of people from one nation-state to another.
