I have social anxiety and depression. I am thirteen. It isn't treated/treated slowly...mine can't be treated. I used to take medication and I am in therapy. It makes you feel good about yourself.

Yes. I'm 15. Currently untreated but on my way towards antidepressants.

Therapy didn't work for me. It made my disorder so much worse.

Medication is supposed to treat the imbalance in your brain. So anxiety wouldn't be a big problem.

I'm not sure how it works.. but it's supposed to make you feel comfortable.

Yes. I have been diagnosed by a doctor with social anxiety disorder and I'm 16 yrs. old. In my opinion, and my doctors, he said everyone has some kind of form of it. Some peoples are far worse, so they need some treatment. I take Zoloft and it has helped me a lot. I don't even see a therapist. I get the medicine from my regular doctor. It works the exact same way. When you have a disorder like this, it is usually caused by a imabalance in the brain. The medicine helps treat the imabalace, and makes you able to feel more comforatable better. I mean, I use to have it so bad, I would throw-up before a simple demonstration in class. Now with the medicine I am taking, it has gotten a lot better. Hope I helped.
