i would suggest track and feild. they have short distance races, so if your fast, but don't want to run a lot, that would be my suggestion. Also, they have feild events that you could also try. Who knows, maybe you'll do good at that.

hope i've helped, and good luck with which ever sport you choose =]

Ok like the person below said, endurance can be built up fairly quickly. With some jogging or similar cardio, you can easily do it over the summer.

That being said, there are some sports that require endurance less than others. For example volleyball, baseball, tennis, etc., require less than say soccer and handball. A tall person that is fast would imo have a particular advantage in for example volleyball, basketball (though this one requiers quite a bit of endurance), and tennis. Personally I prefer the latter (but I am biased).

Preparing is a matter of gaining some practice. Thats not too hard. Buy the equipment, and then find some friends you can play with. With tennis you can even practice alone by hitting the ball against a wall. Also, look up your sport on the net and find advice on how to perform various techniques and/or tactics. Then, try to apply them when you practice.

Its been a long time since I was in school. However, in the two years I went to school in the US, I played on the tennis team. Back then, anyone was welcome to join the team and attend practice. When it came time to playing the other schools, the coach would select the best eight that were available (to make 4 singles and 2 doubles teams).
That being said, no one joined that was not already able to play somewhat.

Anyhow, I wouldnt worry about it too much. If you put the effort over the summer to get the neccessary practice in, then you will be ok.

Good luck.

It's not very difficult to increase your endurance, as long as you don't mind putting some hard work in it. (i.e. running for a few miles a day) Well you're tall, so you could possibly do basketball. You can also run in the hurdles events in Track and Field. It all really depends on what you like. Just try a bunch of sports and see which one you like the best.
