Cheap airline tickets

I'm searching for plane tickets to travel this summer, which is high season..it seems that tickets keep getting more and more expensive. Are there any websites that offer (relatively) cheap tickets? I've tried orbitz, travelocity, etc. etc.., so please don't suggest any major, well-known company, they're all about the same. If there's some sort of relatively unknown website that specializes in overseas, wholesale travel, please let me know. Thanks!!

One little tip: flights that leave at weird times are usually a lot cheaper. I have to fly from Toronto to Winnipeg every summer for my job, and if I leave at 5 in the morning my flight is really cheap.
