why?

Question Posted Monday April 16 2007, 10:16 pm

Why do people answer questions on here when they really don't know the answer? I just asked this -

[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

And got two completely wrong answers. There ARE purses of her, EVERYWHERE in Hollywood stores, in Pac Sun, Hot Topic, Wild About Music, Hobby Lobby, Target.. so why the hell would they say they don't make purses of her anymore because she's DEAD? I'm offended.

The answer lies in statistics.

Out of a hundred people, there are going to be a few dumbasses. This site has thousands of users. Therefore, you can probably assume there are more than just a "few" dumbasses.

Some of them end up seeing your question, in this case, the question about the purse. Being they idiots they are, they naturally assume anything they've never heard about doesn't exist.

by the way, why don't you want it from online?

If you want to go out and actually buy them, I'd recommend calling stores such as hot topic or pac sun first to see if they have it in stock so you don't end up wasting your time.

A lot of people answer questions simply hoping they will be rated well. Even when they don't know the answer. It sucks, but all you can do is rate them low.

Also, when you have a complaint like this, file an abuse report. It helps the site out a lot.

If you don't like their answers & believe they mislead you & gave you false information, then you need to report it. Handing out false information is just lying & giving someone bad advice.

Marilyn Monroe is still in, and always will be. You can find her purses basically anywhere. And if you knew where her purses were, why did you ask? Just report them if you don't like their answers or their false information, and go on about your life.

It's nothing to flip out over & display everywhere.

I recall your question and had avoided answering it because I've not seen or heard of any of her purses here in the UK. However, I'm guessing the people who answered your question quite simply may not have known they do exist and honestly thought they had answered your question correctly. That's really the only conclusion I can come to, to be honest. If there was a different reason they decided to answer your question then I'm afraid it's a question that would be better targetted directly at them.
