This is completely normal when you first start your period, especially, when it comes to trying to sleep. Your period tends to make you very uncomfortable not only with sleeping, but with cramps, pains, etc. However, as I mentioned, this is completely normal and is what is supposed to happen. Some girls have periods worse than others, and/or different from others. But here are some things you can do to make it as comfortable as possible:
1. To help with the discharge, wear pantyliners (pantyliners are just about like pad, only thinner and are used for discharge).
2. For sleeping, take Midol. This will stop your aches and pains from being as painful, and should help you get some sleep. ]
All of that is normal. I would suggest getting a lot of rest, drinking lots of water and just relaxing. taking tylanol or midol also helps. Good luck =) ]
Yeah, I'd think so. Just keep yourself warm, drink tea, you know, all that stuff. The texture bit is perfectly normal, nothing to worry about.
Just remember to keep yourself warm, k? Especially during wintertime...if you haven't experienced cramps yet - i hope you don't ever get to - that's totally normal too. It's different with every person, in fact.
=) Best of luck! ]
