voice lessons are always a good idea, the insturctor can give you warm up ideas that are good for your voice, and tell you areas you need to work on. if thats out of the question, audition for musicals, and the director, voice teacher, ect...can give you tips. try to sing to songs that fit your voice range every day. just keep practicing, and stick to songs more your range, so you dont hurt your voice ]
well I love singing and for a while, i thought my voice just died! what you can do is just practice your singing on simple notes or tunes, or songs. Warming up your voice is always good....pianos also help with your tune. i used to love to show off my talent, but not as much an more, so just sing to yourself and keep trying to work your voice.
truthfully your voice is probably the same, its just that when you sing you might go through phases that you tink you sound bad. Once you have done SIMPLE, not harsh practices with yourself, show someone, and they'kk give you feed back
and if you just CANT stand your voice anymore, take lessons, they help, even if you go for a ittle while. worked for ME!
Ps: you can also go see a show that involves singing, it might motivate you and make you want to sound reall good, so you'll try.
hope i helped!
