Penis Piercing

Question Posted Sunday April 15 2007, 3:22 pm

I plan on getting my penis pierced on my 18th birthday. im 15 now, so i gotta while. i dont know WHYY i want to do this, but i think it'll deffinitely be an experience.

anyways. my questions are:

1. If you've had it done, do you regret it?
2. What are the odds of it getting infected?
3. How long must i have it pierced for it not to close up?

any other information would be appreciated. please do not refer me to google or another search engine as any search with the word penis or penile comes up to have some very disturbing links.

I am going to agree with ysgirl w/ her first statement. OUCH.

Haha, moving on.
Don't know about infection but I'm guessing that it will be more likely for it to get infected then other piercings. Keep it really clean and follow the piercer's instructions really carefully.

For it to not close up--I'm guessing that you're asking about the healing time. I'd say that it will take a pretty long time and again, the piercer will tell you. But regardless of how long you keep it in, it's going to close up if you keep the jewelry out. I pierced my lip & I had it in for the full healing time but it still closes up a little when I leave the thinger out for a while...then I'd have to semi-repierce it. So I'd suggest you follow the piercer's instruction very well, keep it in there an extra week after the healing period and if you're going to take the jewerly out, make sure it won't be for a long time because it hurts =X

I just have to say- Oh, you brave soul. It makes my penis hurt to think about it, and I don't even have one because I'm a girl! OUCH!

Seriously, now. For your second and third questions, I suggest calling the professionals. Many different websites can say many different things. Which information should you trust?

Better yet, go in to the place where you plan to have it done and ask them for an information sheet, which if they are reputable, they will have many on hand. Also, discuss any questions or concerns with them.
